Wanda coach announces the temporary suspension of all lines effective 3/20/2020. Stands in solidarity with the customers the decision affects and offer free face masks during troubled times.

Wanda Coach, a transportation company servicing the New York area, announced today that they would halt all operations as of the end of the day on Thursday, March 19th , 2020. “This announcement was not made lightly,” stated Tom Tian, general manager of Wanda Coach. “we understand that this will affect many people who use our service as their sole means of transportation. We have held off making this decision as long as we could amidst this pandemic crisis. We have seen ridership drop, but now we feel pressure to follow the social distance guidelines that are being laid out by the CDC and the government and limit the ongoing exposure of our employees and passengers,” He continued.

Wanda Coach operates 40 Buses on 12 lines that serve New York, Atlanta, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, and recognizes the impact that this will have on the people it serves. In an effort to help keep their customers safe, they are offering free face masks through their website. Customers can log in to their accounts on wandacoach.com and request free face masks. The first 100 requests each day will be sent, at no cost, three face masks via USPS.

“We know that there are a lot of people in the cities we serve that are scared, many are our friends and customers. We have given a lot of consideration to what it is that we can do. We know this is a small thing, but we hope it will help some people feel safe as they look for other ways to do the travel they are still required to do.” Tian continued.
